In this project, I collaborated with my team to develop a Google Ads search campaign and design a landing page for Guitar Town’s new youth electric guitar. The goal was to create a digital advertising strategy that introduced the product to young beginners in an engaging, affordable, and accessible way. We combined paid search ads with a tailored landing page to ensure alignment between ad messaging and user experience.
Strengths as Digital Content:
This piece demonstrates my ability to work with performance-focused tools like Google Ads while balancing design and storytelling through a landing page. I contributed to ad setup, keyword integration, and campaign troubleshooting, as well as refining the landing page to match campaign objectives. By combining technical execution with creative messaging, I showed adaptability in a team setting and ensured the project stayed aligned with marketing goals.
Learning Outcomes:
From this project, I learned the importance of connecting paid advertising with an optimized landing page experience. I discovered how small details, like ad copy, keywords, and CTA consistency, can significantly affect campaign performance. I also realized that clear team communication is essential when facing technical challenges, as collaboration often leads to stronger results.
Reflection:
This project reinforced my understanding of how advertising campaigns operate as part of a larger digital strategy. While I grew more confident in handling Google Ads, I also saw the value of storytelling and design in landing pages to convert clicks into action. Moving forward, I would expand testing with multiple ad variations and track landing page performance through analytics. Overall, this was a valuable experience that bridged theory and practice in digital advertising.
